The River City Soccer Club is enthused to offer a U10/11 Recreational and Premier soccer programs for the 2010/2011 soccer season. River City SC has demonstrated itself as the soccer club of choice in the Spokane Valley with 15 premier teams and 18 district teams planned for the 2010-2011 season. Our coaching staff is led by Director of Coaching, Jason Quintero, and Club President, Brandon Schreiner. The emphasis of the River City Recreational program is threefold: having fun, building friendships, and developing player technical skills. We do this by providing:
- A U11 program director dedicated to the development of both the coach and the players.
- Training strategies designed by our Coaching Director that are based on US Soccer recommendations for the U11 age group.
- A qualified Technical Director who provides free weekly training sessions during the soccer season and specializes in developing technical skills of players U11-U19.
- Free goalkeeping sessions conducted by our goalkeeping team of Trevor Allen and Lance Beck. See GOALKEEPING tab under TRAINING menu.
- River City Institute of Training which holds “for-fee” training classes during the summer months and draws from the top training resources in Spokane.

A common training site once per week for all members of an age group to receive advanced training and build camaraderie between teams and players within the club.

Philosophy
We believe that U10/11 players in the recreational program should have access to excellent player training to develop player technical skills such as dribbling, passing, receiving, and shooting. As a player continues to develop over time, age-appropriate curriculum and additional trainer resources are used to assist the players in their continued development.
Program Cost
The cost of the recreational program is $75 for U10/11 players. For the cost, players will receive full River City Soccer Club Uniforms (Two real jerseys, shorts and socks), practice shirt, technical training, coach’s training, and access to the extensive resources of the River City Soccer Club.

Q. How are teams formed?
A. Teams are formed randomly to provide even and balanced teams to the degree possible. Requests from players to keep friends on the same team and to join teams in similar geographic locations will be honored.
Q. How many teams will be playing Competetive Rec?
A. When the total number of Club Rec teams is in, half of those teams will be allowed to participate in the District Competitive Rec program. The remaining teams will play at the Club Rec level.
Q. Can a U10 coach join River City SC and coach a U11 Recreational Team?
A. Yes, please contact Jason Quintero or Brandon Schreiner (See below).
Q. Will U10 coaches be allowed to coach players that want to continue to play for them?
A. Yes.

A. During on-line or paper registration, simply check River City as the Club of choice.
